You love stitch.
You love stitching with others.
You love what you create with stitches.
Well, thats not all that you can get from stitching.
Stitching can also be a way of improving our ability to deal with the stresses and strains of everyday living, heighten our awareness of what affects us, provide the opportunity to attend to our inner self and generally improve our mental health.
The theme for December will be decided at the previous session
One Monday a month The Stitching Post will be available to explore how we can stitch ourselves into a healthier way of living. Guided by Dr Ana Kirby, a stitcher and retired clinical psychologist, the morning will be a combination of reflections, body awareness and stitching.
Our Slow Stitch Group meets once a month - do please book and come along if you feel this is for you!
Bring your own fabric and thread if you wish but what you need for the morning will be provided. But do please bring your own sewing kit.
All classes are held in our stable studio in the beautiful village of Isfield. Please note that the studio is 80 metres approximately from the driveway along a gravel path - so those will mobility difficulties please take note. Due to the studio’s idyllic position the nearest toilet is back up the path in the main house.
If, for any unforseen reasons the class has to be cancelled firstly a new date will be offered and you may either transfer to the new date or a refund will be issued. Should you need to change your booking please get in touch with Kelly as soon as possible to discuss alternative plans.
